Lying in the rain shadow of Kilimanjaro, the Rongai route is one of the best routes to make the attempt on Kilimanjaro during the rainy season, as it sees substantially less rain than the southern routes. Starting from the Rongai gate, the route traverses several diverse climate zones, and each produces its own amazing views and experiences. Throughout the early trek, Kilimanjaro looms overhead dramatically and at higher altitudes, you are rewarded with incredible sights finally ending with the 360-degree view from the top of Uhuru Peak. As the descent is along the more heavily travelled Marangu route this trek offers you the chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro from both sides, and to experience nearly everything this unique and beautiful region has to offer.

This was the second time did a trip with Pinnacle Adventures in Tanzania. The service by the team is superb on all aspects from enquiry, booking, payment, transfers, vehicles, accommodations, professional guides and pretty much everything else is second to none. For the first 7 days we opted to go for Kilimanjaro Rongai route for 7 days, we had such an incredible team led by Inno our guide and all 3 of us made it to the Summit. After Kili we went for 6 days safari with Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Lake Eyasi. Our safari guide Macha was awesome, led us to variety of wild animals and beautiful landscapes. We saw all the big 5, large cats and the rare wild dogs. Overall amazing! I highly recommend Pinnacle Adventures and Safaris LTD, for Kilimanjaro Treks and Wildlife Safaris.

Excellent conversation during planning the trip . Fast reply and taken our request positively. Great guides during the climb and safari. Great team during the climb. Otherwise amazing guides and the whole team made it possible to reach the peak despite long walking hours. Great guide during the safari with enormous knowledge about the wildlife. Fantastic accomodation during safari.
