the Safari organized by Savannah is really organized down to the smallest detail, nothing is left to chance, the accommodation facilities are of a high standard. the food, cleanliness the comfort and friendliness at Marera view and kifaru tented lodge are truly exceptional and make you fully enjoy your holiday. our guide Thomas guided us on a breathtaking safari, introducing us to the heart of Tanzania with its animals and its territory. the experience of more than 15 years in driving Safari is seen and felt, and in an experience of this kind is an essential feature. Thomas has worked hard to try to show us as many animals as possible, leaving us time to enjoy the view and to take photographs both real and in our memories. as Thomas says, in the serengeti what you will see not only washes your eyes, but above all washes your heart. thank you very much. Asante Sana

fantastic experience, breathtaking scenery and adrenaline in going to look for animals. our driver Yuma was super helpful, pampered us and did his best to make us live an unforgettable holiday. all lodges were amazing, beautiful, clean, great food and friendliness from everyone. hearing the animals overnight in the tented camp was 1 very strong emotion!!! we lived the real Africa!
At the end of January - beginning of February me and my partner have travelled through Kilimagiaro, trekking on the Marangu Route, and the Parks of Taranguire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, with Savannah Explores. It has been a unique experience: tremendous nature and landscape, but also a human experience, having spent two weeks with the guides and porters of the organization.
Trekking on Kilimangiaro is not an everyday thing. It requires strenght, spirit of adaptation, sensitivity. Dancan, our Italian speaking guide from the Masai tribe, toghether with Calvino, the over-the-top enthusiasm-maker, has made it possible, supporting us in all ways, providing stuff and comfort. All the porters who have carried our stuff up to the Kili have left a sign in our heart, from maître Jackson to chef Leopard. Surprized? Yes, on the trail we have had every day hot meals, freshly coocked, and hot water for washing.
Technically, I’ve had a health problem, and I couldn’t reach the Peak. Dancan has always been by my side, escorting me to the camp, while my partner got the top with Calvino and a porter. We will never forget and thank enough them for being so professional and friendly.
As for the facilities, the camps have no hot water, not always electric current (we had a solar panel but for 3 days there was no sun), not always Internet (if you are about to plan a trakking, take it into account). We had to share the hut only once in 5 days.
But the adventure continued.
We had a 5 days safari with another guide, Maolidi, which we called “Maurizio” or “Mau”. Mau is an excellent driver, speaks Italian very well, but above all he finds the animals. Always! We’ve travelled in the low season, but we have seen so many animals that we never expected. Mau knows the places (I still wonder how he gets hos bearing, without a navigator) and has an exceptional eye for spotting animals. Punctual, dicrete, professional: he has made the difference.
Both near Ngorongoro and in the Serengeti we stayed in a really stunning hotel and a glamour camp with all facilities.
