Visit George Washington's Mount Vernon and take a self-guided tour of the first American president’s historic estate.You can stroll through the 18th-century gardens and grounds; visit the Washington family tombs; meet heritage-breed animals; and interact with people from Washington's world. The Mansion at Mount Vernon is currently undergoing preservation work; rooms will be taken off-display temporarily as the work progresses. From July 8th, 2024 through 2025, the Education Center exhibit on George Washington’s life will be off display for an extensive rebuild.

We feel cheated. The house is under construction. Saw only one room that wasn't in the house. Paid full price. Ridiculous "tour" with WOKE lecture. Talking only about the "enslaved" help. They hardly mentioned General Washington. The politization of history is utterly disgusting.

My family enjoyed visiting this place. It is a large, open space with great views. Nice that is that they have some kettle and other domestic animals there. My kids were entertained by the baby sheep. The only downside is that a mansion is undergoing significant renovations, so there isn't much to see inside of it at the moment.
