Only 45 minutes from the big city, you will find a hidden gem of unsurpassed natural scenery. This andean forest in Choachi has spectacular views, greenery and waterfalls to amaze all visitors alike.This trail is of medium difficulty with some steep, uneven and slippery surfaces so hiking boots are recommended. Otherwise, you can bring a change of shoes & socks in case it rains. You must be in good physical condition to join. Note: With a minimum 48 hour request we are able to provide you with rain boots in most sizes free of charge.

We did a day trip to the Choachi area - the nature was gorgeous, the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and kind and accommodating. Hector drove us to the trailhead and told us all about Colombian wildlife along the way. Alexa led us on a comprehensive and awe-inspiring hike. We learned a lot about nature, history, and Colombian society. The guides were both from the area that we visited, which meant they were the best people possible to show us around. We highly highly recommend this company and the service they provide for allowing visitors to see a beautiful side of Colombia. The tour led by Camilo was so fun and informative – possibly one of the most rewarding experiences I had while visiting Bogotá. The landscape is stunning (waterfalls, farmland, and the centuries-old Camino Real), and we got to eat native fruits and leaves, taste some farm-fresh cheese, and dig into the history of the region. Booking the tour was a breeze: Andes Eco Tours is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Such a great hike, beautiful views and very knowledgeable guides. David was our main guide, and we were met by Hernan as well, who had tons of local facts and stories to add. It was actually not as strenuous as I imagined. Next time I’d try the more difficult route.
