This full-day tour goes from Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, to the beautiful and characteristic town of Taormina in the afternoon. In the first part of the excursion, submerge in nature and visit old craters and lava flow caves, enjoy breathtaking views, and taste the typical local products. In the afternoon, before visiting Taormina, you will stop and see the beautiful "Isola Bella" from above.

Andrea was an excellent tour guide. We had a wonderful experience from when he picked us up to when he dropped us off. He was kind, informed and thoughtful. He even recommended a place to eat for us that evening.

We had a fantastic experience touring the lava caves, Mount Etna, that testing flavors from items made from products of the Mount Etna area and Taormina. Our tour guide Pepe was extremely informative on the areas we visited including the agricultural of the area surrounding Etna. The hiking on and around the craters of Etna was amazing and surprisingly a bit cold for it to be in July. I would advise a jacket that you can wear on Etna and then take off when touring Taormina. On the way back to Catania from Taormina we witnessed Etna’s eruptions. It was amazing to see the smoke/ash clouds but we also were able to witness the lava explosions as well. Due to the proximity of Etna to Catania, the volcanic ash covered everything in Catania. The Catania airport did close until about 3-4pm the next day due to the volcanic ash. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip!

Had a brilliant time on this trip! Our guide was Claudio, and we couldn’t fault him. Great guide, very friendly, and took time to make sure we were all happy! We opted for the cable car/4x4 bus / walk up Etna once we got to the volcano, but others in the group opted for a guided tour by Claudio around some of the lower (2000m) craters. There were also mountain bikes and quad bike tours available there ( all at extra costs), so you can completely customise your day. Afterwards, we saw a small lava cave and headed to Taormina for a couple of hours of lunch and exploring. Highly recommended the tour as a way to taste a little bit of everything!
