All of our tour guides are Bay Area Natives, which will help you understand what it’s like to grow up in SF and now live here as grown ups with our own families. You will enjoy an introduction to San Francisco on this 5 to 6 hour tour that includes a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument. You'll be driven around the city to see its diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping several times for photo ops. At Muir Woods, admire the towering redwood trees, and visit the waterfront town of Sausalito for lunch (own expense). Works great for people coming from cruise ships. You cannot book the Alcatraz option under 4 days in advance.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This tour was awesome! We went through a lot of neighborhoods with hilarious stories and facts from our tour guide Brenden! He lived in San Francisco and was so fun with personal stories

Alex was a great tour guide. He had to navigate the issue with our Federal Government shutdown which prevented a couple stops. I was very sad about missing Muir Woods, but Alex improvised and made a few more additional stops to make up for it. He was very knowledgeable and funny. My 9-year-old son and I had an awesome time. It was the highlight of my trip to San Francisco.

Super informative, knowledgeable, native guide with a passion for his wonderful city. Extra credit for not only being a thoughtful, well-spoken orator, but Alex is an educator and it shows. The tour itself was outstanding but the government shutdown resulted in Muir Woods being closed. Was super bummed about that, but again Alex to the rescue by improvising and filling our tour with extra sites we hadn’t expected. I feel like I’m leaving my first visit to San Francisco well-informed and enlightened by the great history of this beautiful city. Book it- if your experience is even half good as ours, you’ll enjoy it.
