All of our tour guides are Bay Area Natives, which will help you understand what it’s like to grow up in SF and now live here as grown ups with our own families. You will enjoy an introduction to San Francisco on this 5 to 6 hour tour that includes a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods National Monument. You'll be driven around the city to see its diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping several times for photo ops. At Muir Woods, admire the towering redwood trees, and visit the waterfront town of Sausalito for lunch (own expense). Works great for people coming from cruise ships. You cannot book the Alcatraz option under 4 days in advance.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Absolutely amazing experience. Brendan is very knowledgeable and hilarious. This was our first activity in San Francisco. Highly recommend starting your trip with SF Excursions. Can’t wait to come back with my family.

If you are looking for a fun and easy way to see the highlights of San Francisco, this is a great tour. Our tour guide, Alex, was amazing- funny and full of great anecdotes about growing up in San Fran and the history of different neighborhoods and monuments. Muir Woods is the highlight and we had enough time to walk the two mile loop without feeling rushed. We also got ample time in Sausalito. Very well done tour!

Excellent trip showing a few highlights of San Francisco and the surrounding areas of Sausalito and Muir Woods. We also added on the Alcatraz option which was really cool. Alex was our guide today. Would highly recommend this tour!!
