    Afterward, drive to Innsbruck. Picturesque and snazzy, on the pulse of nature and the city at the same time. That’s how Innsbruck, the capital of the Alps presents itself to its visitors. It fascinates with the beauty of nature surrounding it and its long history and traditions, that are interwoven with modern elements. And the charming Old Town, a classic Austrian hybrid of Gothic and Baroque. Explore Innsbruck’s greatest tourist attraction and certainly its most characteristic landmark: The Golden Roof, Hofburg (Empress Maria Theresa’s summer palace). Innsbruck’s Old Town is a small area of sturdy medieval houses, many attractively painted in pastel colors and supported by sloping earthquake buttresses.     The setup was rather unique. It was a combination of art and clothing that made up the entire tour. You get some insights how Swarovski was created as well as some of the key pieces they created throughout their existence. The outdoor garden has more art exhibits, in a lovely green surrounding.

    After being picked up, at our hotel, by lederhosen clad Stephan in a new Mercedes van, we enjoyed a leisurely and picturesque tour from Munich to Innsbruck. We stopped at key areas for photo opportunities and were allowed time for wandering around and shopping. The day was exceptional!
