Experience Oktoberfest and Munich's rich beer history at its finest on the famous Oktoberfest Experience! Learn the history of both the city and the autumn festival while enjoying Bavarian food and drink in central Munich and at the festival grounds. The day starts with a traditional Bavarian breakfast (beer included of course!) in the city center where you will meet your guide for the day. Then make your way through Munich to the world’s largest inner-city beer garden where you learn more about beer, beer gardens and cellars. Along the way you taste different types of popular beers in Bavaria. Arrive at the much-awaited Oktoberfest grounds and bypass the crowds to your reserved tables – complete with assorted Bavarian meats & cheeses. Take some photos with the lederhosen clad waiters and enjoy typical fest fare 2 liters of beer and a half-roasted chicken.

  • You must be 18 years of age and present a valid photo ID in order to consume alcohol
  • At least 4 people are required for this product to take place
  • Back packs are not allowed in the tents due to security reasons
  • Purses are allowed but only up to a capacity of three litres volume or a size of 20 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm.
  • DSLR cameras are OK but we don't recommend it, a smart phone camera is more than enough
  • Ladies: wear comfortable walking shoes or a low wide heal, Munich is a beautiful city with lots of cobble stoned streets.
  • Getting dressed up in Dirndle and Lederhosen will make it a trip to remember along with all those photos
  • Book a group multi day train ticket so its easy to get around - MVV Group Ticket 1 or 3 day
  • Cash, just in-case you want to buy a souvenir or get a cab and such
  • Make sure that you bring the business card of your hotel with you (you wouldn't believe how many forget where they're staying)
  • Bring a photo copy of your valid ID but leave the original in your hotel room

    Best experience ever!! Our tour guide was so fun and very knowledgeable. We got to sit at the Hofbrauhaus tent and just had an amazing time.

    As soon as we met our guide Tim we knew we were in for a great time. The tour was well organized and Tim was full of interesting facts as we meandered our way through our beer breakfast, our beer tasting and finally our Oktoberfest Tent. Our tent seats reserved in the balcony were worth the cost of the tour. Tim stayed with us till the end and helped us participate in all the traditions. This is the only way to Oktoberfest! Be sure to request Tim.

    This tour was beyond wonderful! Lauren was an amazing tour guide and the entire staff was so welcoming. I was a solo traveler, and I chose to go to the opening weekend of Oktoberfest to celebrate my birthday while backpacking around Europe. When the staff found out it was my birthday, they purchased me an apple strudel and even asked the staff of the tent we were in if they could borrow a birthday candle to have me blow out while they had everyone sing happy birthday to me. They did not have to do any of these things, but in doing so I truly felt welcomed by everyone and I had the opportunity to meet amazing people! I would recommend this tour to everyone!
