Jebel Shams is the highest mountain in Oman. Its name is popularly given to the whole area. The narrow and deep gorge is one of the top places to visit in Oman, often called the Arabian Grand Canyon. It is difficult to capture how impressive it is, but below is my guide to help you plan your visit: road, views and the Balcony walk.

Private Jebel Shams Overnight - 2 DOur Overnight Tour in Jebel Shams was wonderful. We did a Balcony Walk in the Mountain and the Sunrise was beautiful. We visited some places as well before going up to the mountain and beforr coming back to Muscat. Our guide was knowledgeable and safe driver. We really enjoyed our trip. Wil definitely booked again another tour with Oman Landscape Tours. Highly Recommended.

Our Overnight Tour in Jebel Shams was incredible. We visited the Forts and Souk , Al Hamra and Misfah Al Arbyeen. The highlights of our trip was Jebel Shams the beautiful Sunrise and we even did the Balcony Walk. It was amazing experienced. Our guide was kind and incredible, he make sure that we spend time in every places we visited. Highly Reccommend!

I met up with a friend for a short trip to Oman. As part of our trip we booked the 2 day trip with Oman Landscapes to go to Nizwa, Al Hamra old village and Jebel Shams. I booked this 2 day venture so it would line up with the livestock auction that takes place in the city of Nizwa on Fridays. Our tour guide Abdul Majeed picked us up extra early so we could get there in time to witness the weekly sale. It was a blast watching the locals sell and buy goats and cows. Our 2 day trip was wonderful, with everything from great food, visiting historic sights, overnights on the night in lovely accommodations (Sama Heights) to hiking along the Balcony trail. This trip is a fabulous way to experience the incredible country of Oman. I cannot say enough about our guide. We were well looked after and our every need was met. He is everything l you could ever want in a guide.
