Nizwa Goat Market is a traditional cattle market in Nizwa city, in Al Dakhiliyah region of Oman that occurs every Friday morning! Nizwa Goat Market is technically an extension of the historic and famous Souq Nizwa but is used exclusively for the villagers to sell and barter for goats, sheep, cows and on extremely rare and unusual occasions, a donkey. Nizwa is the Former Capital of Oman.

    We depart early Morning at 5:30 AM, we drive towards Nizwa we first visit the Friday Cattle Market. Friday sees the ancient Omani capital of Nizwa come to life for the weekly livestock market where farmers and traders arrive from as far afield as Salalah with their animals to barter and trade at one of the finest traditional markets in the Middle East. See a Middle Eastern market operating in much the same way it might have done for centuries, with sheep, goats and cattle all traded alongside local honey and dates.

    Then next is Dianna's Viewpoint, the rim of the cliff here, with its celebrated panoramic view of the farmed terraces below, has a royal connection. Diana, Princess of Wales, enjoyed this spot on a royal visit to Oman with the future British king in 1986. The tourist office receives numerous enquiries about the location, a point not lost on two neighboring hotels that both encircle a potential viewpoint. They may be capitalizing on Diana's memory, but this doesn't detract from the spectacular vista. then drive back to Muscat.

We want to witness the friday cattle market in Nizwa. We went very early to nizwa, we reach there on time. And the Omanis strt selling their goats to other omanis. Witnessing this kind of live selling was incredible. Then after we visited as well the birkat al mouz and irrigation system of Al Kattmyn, then lastly the Jebel Akhdar. We really enjoyed our tour with Majid. I would highly recommend this tour.

We went early morning in Nizwa to witness the selling of goats. To then after our time in Nizwa we visited the green mountain of Oman the Jebel Akhdar. I was amazed by the beautiful landscape and spectacular views above the mountain. We enjoyed our trip. Thank Ahmad for this amazing trip. Highly recommend this tour.

We early morning to Nizwa to witness the Friday Cattle Market. And it was amazing how the Omani selling the live cows, goat etc. this is the highlights of our trip. Our guide Mohammed was kind and knowledgeable about the places that we visited. Thank Mohammed, highly recommended this trip!
