This was a great experience I'd recommend to anybody. After I was picked up by Jack and 2 of his nieces, our first stop was a local market where we did the shopping. - and had breakfast! I loved my bowl of mohinga, although I should have tipped away more of the chilli than I did (it was served in the spoon so you can choose how much you want), it blew my head off! We also stopped at a tea shop before going back to Jack's apartment where I met his wife. They are a lovely family and the chance to meet a Burmese family in their own home was really interesting. You can participate in the food prep really as much or as little as you want, but it is billed a cooking class! Most of the food was great - not so keen on the century old egg, but at least I can say I've tried it! Highly recommended.
