Yangon Evening Street Food and Market Walking Tour

The evening tour was a lot of fun and by the end my belly was full. We visited so many different spots and ate so much delicious food. We visited restaurants, markets, and street food spots, they were all fantastic, and there is something for everyone - sweet and savory. The guides are very knowledgeable and friendly, beyond the food, it is a very good introduction to downtown Yangon life. Highly recommend.

We met our guide Kyaw for our evening street food tour last night, we were a group of 4. We enjoyed the street foods that Kyaw took us to, the food was interesting and different and we would never have discovered the variety of foods had we not taken this tour. We had around 10 dishes to try through out the evening, my favourite was the pickled ginger salad which just happened to be located up the street from my hotel (which was convenient for a return visit). Kyaw explained about the spices and the different areas where we travelled, we loved the areas around China town and Indian town. Very enjoyable evening with an knowledgeable guide his chef knowledge was very handy when we walked around the fresh food market. Would recommend that you do this tour on your first night to get a good idea of Burmese street food. Thank you Kyaw.

Kyaw was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. He took us on a tour of the backstreet food markets where we got to sample a vast array of foods typical of the country. I've no doubt we could have spent much less if we'd not been on the trip but would not have learnt anything or probably even found half of the places he took us too. Some incredible sights, smells, tastes and plenty to eat. A fascinating 4 hours spent with a small group and an experience we'd recommend and will never forget.
