We had a wonderful 3 day safari with Joshua, visiting Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and then the Maasai Mara. Joshua was great throughout, with amazing knowledge of the animals and frankly unbelievable eyesight. The accomodation was great, and our 4x4 was awesome
We are here to tell one of those experiences for which it makes sense to live and which drastically changes the meaning of our life.
Shortly after the end of spring 2021, in the midst of the global pandemic, my wife and I started thinking about how to get out of this dark moment of our existence. Living in Poland, we realized how one of the few things that was able to give us happiness and well-being and to allow us to leave all current problems behind us, was to go on weekends for walks in the woods to immerse ourselves in nature in search of carefree and looking for the miracles of nature. My wife, seeing my deep interest in animal species, began to bombard me heavily with a single theme: a journey in the midst of nature, in the midst of those animal species that we are not lucky enough to fart every day: a trip to Kenya .
As always, she began to go alone to various travel agencies, where interesting but not captivating packages were offered to her, as they were focused on a reduced number of safari days and on a consistent number of days to spend in boring (but however popular and delightful) resorts on the coast. Once captured by the idea of embarking on this trip, and disappointed by the travel offers received from the agencies, we started looking for a viable alternative to this type of planned travel from abroad, and we came across a site of local Kenyan agencies.
From that moment, making a brief investigation into agencies capable of organizing a ten-day safari, we came in contact with Lewis, a wonderful person who caught my attention with a phrase: 'I am here to take care of you once you're deciding to travel to Kenya '.
We started talking by phone with Lewis, I must say initially with some caution, to better understand if he was really representing a reliable agency. We started talking about our expectations, our intentions and we started talking about a possible itinerary of interest. We talked about it by phone several times over the following months, to the point of upsetting one of the most popular basic itineraries of his company to adapt it to our needs.
Lewis turned out to be an extremely patient and delightful person, able to answer a series of sometimes trivial questions focused on issues unknown to all who are about to travel for the first time in their life to a continent of which we know relatively little. . He clarified our doubts and erased fears, planning everything in an excellent and impeccable way, even making us the courtesy to take care of some small details.
Many thanks Lewis!
We left on December 18, 2021 with my wife and a couple of other friends, in the midst of general uncertainty due to the pandemic, with the only hope of finding someone waiting for us at the airport on the other side of the globe. Almost a month later, we can firmly say that we have probably had the best travel experience of our life. Before reaching the coast at our expense for a few extra days of relaxation in Galu Beach, we spent 10 fantastic days immersed in nature, starting from Nairobi and touching one after another of the paradises of nature: the majestic Masai Mara National Park, the fascinating Lake Naivasha, the surprising Nakuru with its Hell's Gate National Park, the silent Samburu National Park with his Buffalo's Springs next to it, the magic Aberdare National Park and the astonishing Amboseli National Park with the imposing and mysterious Kilimanjaro mountain in the background.
I cannot put into words our gratitude to these fantastic people who work for this small-medium business and who have given us unforgettable moments, capable of marking our existence. We spent ten amazing days with Alex, our highly trained guide before being a driver. Alex was a travel companion who put all his experience at our disposal and spread his arm on our shoulders, as if to want to protect us from every surrounding situation. We lived ten days in a lovely symbiosis, to the point that we would have loved to share our room with him in order to spend as much time as possible talking and laughing with him. He taught us and explained more things than we could have dreamed of, both from the point of view of Kenyan culture and animal life in the parks. Even today I can't avoid contacting him via Whatsapp to joke on the phone and remember with extreme warmth the very pleasant moments spent together. Thanks Alex!
I wouldn't think twice. If we were to be lucky enough to repeat a trip to Kenya in the future it would be only with Unscripted Safaris.
You will ask yourself the reason for this statement.....
Beyond all that we were able to see with Alex in the 6 different parks thanks to his knowledge of the parks and the deep knowledge of animal habits (we were very lucky to see all the Big Five, all the Ugly Five and all the Small Five and many other rare stuff like the Savana cat or Genet cats), what you can glimpse of the parks strictly depends on the weather and environmental conditions, and even more on a significant coefficient of luck and coincidences). However, our relationship with Alex and with our representative Lewis was something indescribable, which goes beyond a contract and which resulted in a relationship of sincere friendship and mutual respect.
Blessed be the day we decided to choose Unscripted Safaris. I wish health and every success to these amazing people, so full of education and passionate about their profession. We are indefinitely grateful to you.
We highly recommend Unscripted Safaris (aka Unscripted Expeditions) to you all, you can't get any better.
