We had a pleasant day at lake Naivasha and Elsamere with driver guide Isaiah.
He took us to the boat safari to Crescent Island first, from 9am, we saw fishermen were fishing both on the boats and on the tree trunks in the morning light.
The lake was calm and the view with water and mountains in the middle of the lake was so special.
We enjoyed walking safari in Crescent Island too.
Isaiah is a friendly guide teaching us Swahili, talking about social issues, it was a good time.
The highlight was a big Paython, moved into the nest hole on the ground, too quick to take a picture. Thank Isaiah to look for it.
The previous evening, we were told that the gorge was closed so that we decided not to go there and spent time at Elsamere instead.
We are interested in Joy Adamson's life work when we saw a part of it at Nairobi National Museum so that it was meaningful time.
Enterence fee has 2 options-1000ksh for museum and high tea, or 1800ksh for plus buffet lunch.
The garden is peaceful, beautiful lake Naivasha scenary and beautiful black& white Colobus monkeys, butterflies, birds...
The lunch had various salads, pasta with meat sauce, Tilapia fillet, Potetos, Spinach Quiche, home bake bread etc., for desert, custard, muffin and fruits. They were delicious! High tea cookies and cakes are all home made and also very tasty.
There, the staff are all very nice and kind.
At the museum, a guide, who has been working for 27years, was so friendly and he explained very well. We wanted to spend more time there.
Isaiah drove carefully and it was already dark when we arrived the hotel safely. The tour started 15min delay but he worked hard until 7pm.
Also he was helpful to lend us money. We didn't bring enough cash with us to the tour, because we thought we could use credit card but wasn't accepted beside Elsamere.
Toyota sedan car for our 2person private tour was so comfortable. One request from us is, bottled water should have been provided.
