3 Day Masai Mara Safari

We met our driver and guide Martin at the Nairobi airport at 5:00 am. We then drove 5 hours to the Masai Mara Preserve. Martin was informative through the drive and answered all our questions. We stayed at the Mara Simba Lodge. After check in, and a quick nap, Martin took us out into the preserve for a few hours. It’s obvious he knows where to go to see certain animals. We got up close to zebra , baboons, giraffe, water buffaloes, and a pair of lionesses. Drove back to the lodge, cleaned up and had a wonderful dinner. The lodge is very nice, with open air public areas and comfortable room w private bath and a perfect shower. Slept well and started day 2. Had a great breakfast and then out to the Preserve for almost an entire day. Once again Martin knew where to go. We got close to a herd of elephants, a male lion, a cheetah , crocs, hippos, leopard, thousands of wildebeests, Zebra and giraffes. Also saw eagles, storks, geese and mongoose. It was a sensational day. This is a great tour company and Martin was the perfect guide. Could not be more satisfied with the company and Martin! When u book from abroad, it’s a crap shoot. Rest assured, you are in experienced and professional hands. I had not one concern with Martin. He gave us very practical advice on handling multiple issues (tips, buying, and avoiding being scalped buying souvenirs).

We went on a 3 day safari with Micheal in Maasai Mara and had an incredible safari. Michael is exceptional at his job, he has almost 20 years experience guiding and has an incredible amount of knowledge of the area and the mammals and birds. He is also respectful of wildlife, has a very good eye for spotting, friendly and a great driver. He was a huge help to us in seeing the wilderbeest migration and also seeing the big 5. Would highly recommend Explorer Kenya with Michael!

I would definitely recommend. This company provides really top-level service. The organizator provides options to choose, flexible and quick to answer the messages. The safari guide was highly professional and comfortable to travel with. He found animals quickly and we saw many animals closely. We saw the big five (even leopard from big distance) and we had many lions. The guides name is Sammy. I would recommend him. He does great job! If i travel again i would choose this company and this guide.
