Giraffe Centre, Nairobi, Kenya The tour start by picking you from your Nairobi Hotel. Proceed to the Giraffe Center, the headquarter for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife made famous by "Daisy Rothschild", a giraffe calf rescued from Soi, on the Western Kenya border. Daisy and her family form only a small part of a herd of these gentle giants, living in a semi wild state at Giraffe Manor. You will also learn their behaviours, traits and more conservation education. These animals will come to a protecting wall to be fed. Make the most of your visit when you go to the Giraffe Center nature trail up until the Gogo River. This is what most people don't get to see and it's a fascinating place to walk in the nature, with bushes on either side and birds giving the most wondrous songs. The trail will take about 1-hour going up and down in a relaxing pace. Entry fees to the giraffe center are included. 60 minutes
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Nairobi, Kenya We will then drive you to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust have a walk through the little center from 11am - 12pm in an open space, with a rope fence around it. The youngest elephants come trotting out of the bush to greet their keepers who stand at the ready with giant bottles of milk. For the next 10-15 minutes you can watch each little one slurp and gargle their milk. When they're done, there's water to play. While you get to watch them play and take photos. You find out how old they were when they arrived at the orphanage, where they were rescued from, and what got them into trouble. Once the youngest are all fed, they are led back into the bush, and it's the turn of the 2-3 year olds. Some of them can feed themselves, and some are still fed by their keepers. It's very cute to watch them hold their giant milk bottles in their trunks and close their eyes with joy as they make quick work of several gallons of milk. 60 minutes
Learn to Make Jewelry&Pottery frm clay - Kazuri Beads Factory, Karen, Kenya You will then be driven to the Kazuri Beads factory. This is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from the start to the finish. We visited giraffe centre, elephant orphanage, as well as Kazuri Beads, and a number of sites to purchase good quality souvenirs. We hit all the Nairobi highlights in our 8 hour tour! Our driver/guide Stephen was great! My 21 year old daughter and I were the only ones on the tour, and he made sure we made efficient use of our time by pre-ordering lunch, and also acted as photographer for us.
Thank you Stephen for a wonderful day!

Kelvin was a fantastic guide from start to finish! I can’t recommend him enough.
The day started with a pick up from the hotel which he arrived before our scheduled time and when we picked up more guests, we headed to the Giraffe Centre.
Throughout the drive Kelvin was telling us all about the history of the places we passed and pointed out some other point of interest we may like.
The giraffe centre and orphanage were excellent. A must see if you are at all in to wildlife conservation at all.
We also went to Kazuri Beads and got to know it’s wonderful history and picked up some lovely Jewellery. Then ended the day with a great buffet style lunch at mamba village - I would never have thought to go there and I’m very grateful we did as the park and surroundings were beautiful!
Kelvin done a great job, he’s super friendly and an excellent host. Thanks for the warm Kenyan welcome.
Asante Sana! :)
