Enjoy this 11.5-hour tour of Lake Nakuru National Park, home to one of the most remarkable wild bird populations in all of Africa. Get up close with wildlife on a game viewing drive, and be on the lookout for the park’s amazing flamingos. Enjoy a 1-hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha as well before being transported back to your Nairobi hotel.

    After meeting your guide at the hotel or residency within Nairobi CBD at 6:00am, start your journey to Nakuru. While en route, stop at the Great Riff Valley view point where you will attain magnificent views of the escarpments. Arrive at Lake Nakuru by 9:00am, completing the 3-hour drive. Upon your arrival, start the 3-hour game drive with your guide and part. Break for lunch at a local restaurant, Lake Nakuru Lodge. Alternatively, you may have a pre-arranged picnic lunch in the park.

  • Lake Naivasha, Kenya
    Have lunch, then continue to enjoy additional game drives on the way out. Depart the park at approximately 3:00pm and head to Lake Naivasha for a 1-hour boat ride. While on the boat ride, enjoy bird watching, eagle feeding, and hippo viewing. Once your boat ride comes to an end, return to the dock. Begin the drive to Nairobi for a 6:00pm arrival and get dropped off at the hotel or residency within CBD. NOTE: You will pay for your own entrance fees (60 USD per person) at the gate using VISA CARD. THEY DON'T ACCEPT CASH.

George was our guide for the day and talked us through the days activities. Communication was great ahead of time - especially considering it was a last minute booking. We were very fortunate to witness a lioness and her kill 5mins into the drive! As it’s a private tour, you can stop as many time for pics and observing the animals in the wild. Make sure you pack snacks as it’s a very early start and it’ll be a while before you can have lunch. A beautiful park and an unforgettable experience.

Danson is a very knowledgable and engaging guide. Easy pickup from hotel, then directly to the astounding Nakuru park via a stunning rift valley viewing (and some coffee and pastries). The park feels wild and Danson’s deep knowledge of local bird life adds another dimension. Excellent lunch buffet on the way back. Would recommend the boat trip addon as well.
