My wife and two kids (age 8 and 9) had a once in a lifetime experience. It’s an understatement to call this a tour. It’s more meaningful than that. You will have the privilege of seeing the story of young school children succeeding despite the odds against them.
We also had tea with Kevin, Ishmael and his family which was a true honor especially meeting his parents. The couple hours just flew by.

Kevin picked us up on time at our hotel to take us to the Kibera Slum. We visited a local school, had tea with Kevin’s parents and brother, Ishmael, and learned about the making if bone jewelry. Everyone in the Kibera seems to know Kevin and wants to meet you. What a great morning!

If you want to experience the slums from someone that lived here then this is the tour for you. Kevin was an amazing Tour Guide that took us behind the scenes of life from someone who’s lived it. We had the opportunity to visit a School that he and his brother are working hard to educate the children that are growing up in the slums. They are doing an amazing job. We also had the opportunity to visit his parents home and have a delicious hot drink. After the end of the tour, Kevin made sure we got to our next tour and stayed with us until the Tour Guide arrived. It. is definitely a five star tour.
