Masai Mara/ Lake Nakuru 5 Days Safari

Booking was a smooth process, helpful and fast replies from customer reps. I would say other communications between myself and the company prior to the safari was great. They informed my party with all information entering the country as well. Hotel pickup was o time and convenient. Our safari guide was very experienced, 20+ years and spoke very good English. The land cruiser for our safari was clean and well maintained.

This was an amazing trip of a lifetime thanks to Explorer Kenya. Purity was an incredibly helpful contact and designed a personalized itinerary for us which she continued to adapt when we requested additions/changes up until the last day. Our driver and guide, Sammy Wachira, was the highlight of the trip. He was an expert driver, crisscrossing the Masai Mara and constantly radio-ing with other colleagues to find the best animal sightings and always going out of his way to show us the most amazing up close views of the stunning wildlife in Kenya. In addition, we learned so much about Kenya's people, economy, landscape, history, and culture from him that we came away feeling we truly knew Kenya, even with such a short trip. He also suggested alternative itineraries based on our requests and then made them happen, making the trip ultimately even more special than we had originally planned. Specifically, between Nakuru and Nairobi, you can go boating on Lake Naivasha to see the hippos up close and actually walk up close with the animals which was really an amazing experience--thank you Sammy! He also was conscious of our young kids--finding food they would eat and not tiring them out too much. P.S. The hot air balloon ride over Masai Mara was totally worth it--an experience we will never forget and icing on the cake of a spectacular experience in this beautiful country.

I booked the safari directly by contacting Explorer Kenya via email. Purity was patient during our email chatting, and she arranged everything well. Our driver guide, Michael, was so professional and knowledgeable!!! He drove safely and spotted animals far away from us and noticed us while driving. He could explain all questions we asked. He knew well about when and where to see certain species. We saw feeding cheetah, wildebeest migration, a family of lions lying one meter away, and stunning picturesque scenes. We were lucky to have Michael. This safari trip went beyond our expectations! We also asked Explorer Kenya to help us arrange a car to pick up our luggage in Nairobi and meet us in Amboseli.
