We Pick Up in Hotels or Residence Within Nairobi

  • Hell's Gate National Park, Naivasha, Kenya
    7am - Depart Nairobi and start of drive to Naivasha, brief stop over at the Great rift valley view point. Arrive at the gate of hells gate at around 9:30am. Start of the biking tour at hells gate 8 kilometres to the gorge with animals on the way. 11am - Visit the gorges inside the park. Gorges are small thin depressions of land mass where you can walk on the side. This will take 1 hour. 1pm - Finish the tours and bring the bikes back 8 kilometres to the gate.

  • Lake Naivasha, Naivasha, Kenya
    Take an optional 1 hour boat ride in the lake for bird watching and hippo viewing. Here at the lake there is also a restaraunt where you can have lunch. End of activities at around 4 pm and drive back to Nairobi.

Absolutely nice trip! Patrick not only organized a well designed program, wis his great sense of humor he even enriched the 1,5h drive to the park. We also had lots of fun cycling through the valley with Sammy our Massai guide. Although you get to see less variety of animals, the experience of cycling next to zebras, gazelles and giraffes is unique. The boat tour was also totally awesome, seeing plenty of birds and hippos. Absolutely recommended.

Leuke daguitstap vanuit Nairobi. Wel druk verkeer en een rit van ruim 2 uur te rekenen. Onderschat de fietstocht naar Hells Gate niet: grote kans dat je een slechte fiets krijgt of niet op maat en versnellingen die niet werken. Ook de wandeling naar Hells Gate is niet voor iedereen geschikt (redelijk wat klimmen en dalen) maar wij vonden het wel leuk! De kloof zelf is mooi maar niet de mooiste die wij al gezien hadden. We hadden het iets anders ingebeeld. We hadden een leuke gids! Leki, een jonge Masaai kerel die veel uitleg geeft en goed op de hoogte is. Voor ons was het hoogtepunt vooral de boottocht op lake Naivasha. Wel prijzig voor 25 dollar maar veel mooie dieren en vooral ook vogels gezien. Ook onze chauffeur Joash is een typische, goedlachse Keniaan die we erg op prijs gesteld hebben.

It turned out to be a private tour as I was the only participant. Had a fantastic tour of Hell’s Gate and Lake Naivasha with my guide, Joash. He was very friendly and thoughtful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I didn’t cycle in Hell’s Gate, but Joash drove me through the park and stopped for me to take pictures with the animals. He also patiently waited while I explored on foot with the Hell Gate guide for a bit. He also took the boat ride at Lake Naivasha with me and helped me take pictures. The boat ride was relaxing, and we passed by Crescent Island which was beautiful. Highly recommend!
