Enjoy a day to discover the ruins of Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius with a private transportation in a modern Minivan driven by a professional driver and a specialized personal guide who will be waiting for you at the sites. The tour will start with  a 2-hour guided tour of Herculaneum and learn all about this ancient city covered by Mt. Vesuvius eruption.  Afterwards, take a break for lunch in a typical Italian restaurant for some good wine and traditional dishes.  After lunch the driver will take you to Mount Vesuvius, one of the greatest naturalistic attractions of Italy, where you can have a wonderful view of the Bay of Naples and a splendid natural scenery underneath.

  • The site of Herculaneum is vast and also very exposed with minimal shade, so it is recommended to use a sunscreen and to wear a hat.
  • Make sure to take plenty of water.
  • We organize a special itinerary for wheelchair users.
  • It is appropriate to use closed shoes and not flip flops, since it can be difficult to walk through the ruins of Pompeii with open shoes.
  • The tour guide and the driver will be happy to help you to take group photos and give you all necessary information regarding the site that you might want to ask.
  • Skip the line; the guide can buy the tickets immediately at the preferential check-out.
  • Infant car seat are available upon request

We did the private tour of Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Our archaeologist guide at Herculaneum was amazing! Luciano was positively bursting with enthusiasm and information. We learned so much from him! Our driver Francesco did an excellent job of navigating small streets and difficult terrain while also pointing out the sites. Great tour!
