Booked this trip on the day as recommended by the guide next to the station.
Go every Monday at 9:36, meet at 9am and buy your ticket that includes the train (1hour) guided tour and entrance, so everything in.
There's a bit of walking but not much, but it was 31 degrees so warm.
Josephina, our guide was ace, looked after her guests on and off the train, walking, talking in the shade and very personable.
Great knowledge and story filling as we walked about and you were guided as everyone looked and asked questions.
Great history unveiled before your eyes.
2 hours round the rooms, house, spas, toilettes and bakeries understanding the history and engineering of the Romans.
Have a beer or food walking back up the incline and catch a train from platform 3 which is every 20 minutes.
Our one back didn't have air con so take water and drink beer when home.
