Our time in Pompeii and at the Herculaneum was AWESOME!! The high speed train between Rome and Naples was very easy/convenient. Our driver Massimo was very friendly and a proud life long citizen of Naples sharing all kinds of Naples trivia and such. Mena, our guide for the day was incredible. Very knowledgeable, entertaining, accommodating, personable. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommend and would encourage folks to visit both Pompeii and the Herculaneum. Also give yourself 2-3 hrs after the tour before taking the train back to Rome to walk around downtown Naples a bit and have a late lunch. There is not time for lunch during the tours.
