Live the magic of Naxos - “ the playground of the gods” in a half day excursion to the wondrous sites of the island which bring to life the incredible world of Greek mythology. Our tour begins with a visit to the sanctuary of Dionysus -ancient god of wine, surrounded with olive, fig trees, and vines. Here, your expert guide will share with you the love story of Dionysus and Ariadne, the ecstatic dances and the wine banquets held on site.We continue our journey of discovery enjoying a panoramic drive through the countryside, to reach Demitra’s sanctuary overlooking the fertile plains of Sangri. Continuing our drive to the largest olive grove of the island with hundred years old olive trees- precious gift of Athena, goddess of wisdom… to reach the small unspoiled village of Kaloxylos. Here we conclude our tour with time dedicated to the god of Hospitality – Xenios Zeus, savoring the islands precious goods - olive oil, cheese, wine and honey – gifts of the ancient gods.

Our tour guide was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and gave us great stories of Naxos, Greece and the surrounding land, towns and history as well as the sites we visited, while allowing us time to take photos on the tours and was very professional, lovely lady, transport had great AC as well, walks were managable and the food tasting was sublime! Best wine I have ever tasted, and have been searching for the Koroneiki epirroes olive oil to buy for home since!

A very fascinating, in-depth tour of Naxos town touching on Greek mythology and stopping for wine and snacks. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and great with the kids in our group—she got them involved and interested and was very patient with the youngest child when his attention span decreased after a long day! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Naxos.
