Our walk begins with a pleasant stroll along the coast before exploring the winding streets of the Castle and the walled fortresses of the ruling Dukes. Discover Naxos history as climbing up the hill and travel back in time to the Middle Ages, strolling with your guide through the alleyways to marvel at the Venetian impact on the town. You’ll pass loggias and the coats of arms of the Dukes, which are still visible on the marble doorways. From the noble quarters of the Medieval palace, we stroll down to the vibrancy of the Old Town with colourful shops, bars and taverns. Along the way, we stop at picture-perfect settings offering amazing views, for photography. As we reach the waterfront, glimmers of light reflect the awesome myth of the Minotaur of Crete and marriage of Ariadne with the god Dionysus on the island. The inspirational walk ends at the famous ‘Portara’, of the Temple of Apollo, where you will experience a sensational sunset over the blue Aegean Sea.

Incredible tour! The ancient temple ruins set against the backdrop of the sea were amazing, and Katias' way of telling the history and mythology behind them made it all the more fascinating. I highly recommend this visit to anyone traveling to Naxos - it's a must-see!

This is the best tour company in Naxos. We did a private sunset mythology tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Katia was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable about mythology and history. She was nice, friendly, and professional and also and gave us some other recommendations as well. She was one of our favorite guides from our entire Greece trip. I highly recommend this company!
