Combining the best of nature with some typical local life, gorgeous Himalayan views, captivating sunset and ethereal sunrise from Chisapani and Nagarkot, this hike makes for an ideal vacation in a matter of three days. The trip starts with a short drive to Sundarijal, a popular hangout and busy picnic spot in the north of Kathmandu. Falling inside the boundaries of Shivapuri National Park, this is a place of cool shades, tall trees, beautiful streams and serene atmosphere — all in striking contrast to the noise and crowd of the city. Leaving aside a few settlements on the way, the hike trail passes through forest to Chisapani, the destination of the first day. Chisapani is a mixed settlement of Brahmins, Gurungs, and Sherpas. The village also commands a beautiful view of the large section of the Himalayan range, which emits an ethereal glow in the setting sunlight. Hicimos trekking un fin de semana, y la verdad es que con Ram (manager) nos entendimos al instante. Una pasada los paisajes y los poblados durante la ruta!y el trato muy cercano siempre! Sin duda alguna, si vuelvo a Kathmandu volveré a contactar con esta empresa para que me gestione la estancia en Nepal! Un 10!

Nous avons été vraiment satisfaits de la prestation de l'agence et de son guide Rupak qui s'est mis en 4 pour nous faire plaisir, répondre à nos questions, marcher à notre rythme, très à l'écoute de nos besoins, sachant s'adapter à l'un et l'autre du couple, (nous n'avions ni le même rythme, ni les mêmes réactions !). Par contre un peu déçus par le trek lui même car malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu voir les montagnes. Et la forêt près de Kathmandu est assez poussiéreuse. L'arrêt à Chisopani était beaucoup plus authentique que celui de Nagarkot plus luxueux (j'y reviens après 30 ans et tout est couvert de buildings pour les touristes, dommage) mais l'accueil partout était sympathique.

We did the 3 days tour in the Shivapuri Nagarjun National parc and we really enjoyed it. The tour from Sundarijal to Chisapani and afterwards to Nagarkot is very beautiful but you have to be in good shape to do it because you have to climb a lot of stairs and walk for about 21km the second day of the tour. We went with the guide Dilli who over all was very nice although we felt that he was a little distant. He answered all our questions but kept the information very short and to a minimum. Sometimes we would have wished that he walked next to us in our own speed instead of walking faster ahead of us. The accommodations on the trip are very basic in Chisapani and luxirious in Nagarkot.
