On Feb 2020, I have made plans with Well Plan Trekking company and was attended by Mr Ram. It was a 11 days trip to ABC. MrRam was well knowlwdge about the routes. Safety was his frist concern. I was very slow. When going up to MBC, i was devasteted. Was break downing. Mr Ram adjusted to my pace always there motivating me, peeling oranges to boost my immunity. Although we did not make it to ABC, MBC was our achievement as this was our first trekking experience.
Ram had patience wz me. My teenager son was fast and Porter Pradhip was too nice. Everytime, we ereach the tea house, Pradhip will look into my eyes and ask if I was okay. It was soothing when knowing someone who feels my pain.
When passsing by the snow towards MBC, it was a hard walk. But thanks to Mr Ram. If not for him, We would not even made it to MBC. Thank you Mr Ram. A guide like you is needed for every trekkers.
Our trip was shorten to 7 days as we decided not to other trekking like Ghagbeni and Mutkthinath.
Bad Option : We decided to stay i Kathmandu and head back to Singapore.
In Kathmandu, the cost at ECO Kathmandu Hotel was US40 wz breakfast which guide Ram have arranged.
But since we cut the trekking trip short, we stayed 2 extra nights. US$40 was too pricey for the hotel. Bed linen was lousy. Pillows were soft. I paid US$70 as the first night, we skipped the breakfast. Breakfast was nothing to shout about. I would have preferrred to have breakfast outside the hotel with better varieties.
I would suggest trekkers to choose their own hotel when in Kathmandu.I have stayed at better hotels wz better prices. Reception at ECO Kathmandu first told me US$30 per night and after talking with guide Ram I was quoted US$40 pernight. Overpriced.
Up at the tea houses, we have to pay for wifis and meal for 2 cost lunch dinner and breakfast cost 1500rupees to 2800 rupees at each tea house .
What was important, we returned back safey achieveing our targets MBC.
Thank you Mr Ram for your guidence and patience.
