Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers, the park includes hilly areas of the Shivalik Range covered by deciduous trees. Parts of the park are floodplains of the rivers; Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu. These floodplains are covered by dense tall elephant grass, forests of silk cotton, acacia and Sisam trees. Chitwan National Park was officially established in 1973 and included as a World Heritage Site in 1984. Journey down the river by canoe, watch the sunset over the jungle.

Durch Afrika verwöhnt kann man das mit Nepal nicht vergleichen! Der Park ist auch sehr dicht sodass an die Tiere nicht sieht selbst wenn Sie da sind. Kein Tiger, doch 2 Panzernashörner, etliche Antilopen Arten sowie viele Vögel gesehen.

Loved the tour. Besides the chitwan tour the guy took care of rest of the things like bus booking and for our hostel in pokhra as well. If you are in Kathmandu, do visit him.He is a local guy and I think have many contacts with adventure activities as well.
