  • The following basic equipment checklists should help you with your packing. Please remember that you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. At the start of the trek, your packed trek bag should weigh no more than 33 pounds or 15 kg.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This is my second time with Above the Himalaya trekking company. I have known Puru the owner for the last 15 years ever since my first trek with them in 2007. I did not have to look beyond Puru for this trip since I knew his quality and reliability. I was on a custom itinerary specifically designed for photography. Puru was very helpful in accommodating all our requirements and also the guide and porter logistics. He was always a yes man and never once did we have to compromise on our plans. Everything was meticulously planned and optimised specific to our requirements. I also want to give a huge shout of thanks for our guide and porter who not only possess super human strength in tackling those mountains but we’re also extremely polite and professional. All in all Above the Himalaya is a great option for people who want to have a safe and reliable trip while in the mountains without any compromise. Am sure I will go to the mountains once again with Puru and his team.

It was a once in a lifetime experience. Organization, pickups and drop offs, flights, our guide and porters, everything was like a clockwork. That allowed us to soak in the trekking experience and the views. The trek isn’t easy, but with this company you don’t have to worry about details. I’d choose the same company again!
