There are many airlines they operate mountain flight and time may vary depends on schedule and seat availability. The flight time will confirm with the booking confirmation and re-confirm a day prior to the flight date. It is one hour flight and has to check-in prior an hour before the flight. A mountain flight is a popular way to see the backbone of the mighty Himalayas as the flight circles Mt. Everest. The flight offers every seat a window seat for full visibility of all the mountains east of Kathmandu. The flight begins with the plane taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport and heading eastward toward Mt. Everest. We were very excited about our Mount Everest flight. They were watching and monitoring the weather before the plane took off from Kathmandu. Everyone gets a window seat in the plane. Wonderful opportunity for pictures of the highest mountains of the world! We all got small explanatory maps with panoramic view of the highest Himalayan peaks. Unfortunately, our flight had to turn back due to decreased visibility. We heard we would be eligible for a refund. We were satisfied with the services of Buddha Air, just a shame that weather did not cooperate.

This is a fantastic experience and the easiest way to get a good view of Everest without too much effort. The early start is definitely worth it. THe stewardess did a great job telling passengers what to look out for. Previous reviewers have said there is a chance to visit the cockpit for photos - that was not the case this morning. Also the window I had was dirty which meant the focussing of my iPhone became difficult - especially when trying to zoom. I appreciate that keeping external windows clean is difficult but the lady opposite me who bought wipes for window probably got better photos than me! I don’t know why they don’t supply them as it would not be expensive and make for a more enjoyable experience. However, I did get some okay photos and this is more about the experience and is definitely to be recommended
