For incredible views of the Himalayas, you don’t have to go far from Kathmandu. The high hills ringing the valley provide for an awe-inspiring view of the great snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
The Kathmandu Skyline Trek starts at the ancient village of Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It takes you to the top of Nagarkot for an outstanding sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas and then drops down to the picturesque village of Dhulikhel. Finally, you reach the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha before taking a private vehicle back to Kathmandu.
The journey is considered an easy to moderate trek. Close to Kathmandu, yet you will still feel a million miles away from the traffic and city activity. Instead, you will trek often above the clouds as you make your way along the eastern rim of the legendary Kathmandu Valley. We started at 9 am after breakfast from your hotel and reach Nagarkot approx 3 pm.

Perfect for beginner hikers and outdoor lovers. You get the best hotels of the area (the one in Nagarkot was top notch), and you get to see and experience bits of everyday life in Nepal. The views and the food were great too. Gratifying and memorable experience thanks to our guide, Bidhur. He took great care of our group. He was always very courteous and considerate to our needs. We learned a lot and had good fun with him.

Me and my friends booked this trek because of the in-nature experience. We got to see amazing views all through out and we stayed in very beautiful hotels (way nicer than expected).
Our guide, Bidur was very friendly, attentive and fun to be around with. He knew which places to take us for eating and he would tell us where it was safe for drinking.
During the trek, we really never felt on a schedule; we decided the time we wanted to have our meals and the time to leave the hotel to resume the trek. It was great having that flexibily (we never felt rushed).
Overall we all loved the entire experience. We got to see incredible views while in great company. I would totally recommend this trek. ✅
