We traveled to Thailand and then spent 7 days in Nepal, just not enough time to explore the country. Our tour company Himalayan Sanctuary Adventures made our journey fabulous. Bishnu and Prem are so hospitable they are flexible and customize your tour to the customers needs. Unlike other tours in other countries. We found the guides in other private tours always trying to take us to over priced vendors for an extra commission and rushing us through the temples and sites and we may have missed something by going here or there, my opinion they were pretty honest and gave back constructive criticism and very informative. We are there to see the country, experience the culture not buy things from everyone trying to take a commission, do your research if you want to take something home special. Our guide in Kathmandu was excellent so informative and got a lot history on Nepalese total hands on, energetic, fun, well spoken English. The Pokhara hotel was so friendly and staff worked hard to please. Food was excellent in all the hotels. Also ask them ahead time which hotels you are booked in, so you can prepare to do things when you are on the downtime if you want to stay closer into town they will be happy to accommodate, sometimes the pool may not be available due to weather and riding trek bikes in mountain may not be your thing.
Bishnu was always in touch, making sure your room is up to standards. If you need something special, request ahead of time. I prefer to have a bathrobe after a long day washing up, hard to come by. All you need to do is let them know and it will be a arranged. If you prefer a 5 star hotel you can always upgrade. The food was excellent everywhere we stayed and service. Bring your rupees or enough currency to exchange and make sure you have new currency, they don’t like to exchange old bills or anything with a rip, tear or crease. There are toll transfers between areas and a lot to see so bring enough money to exchange. Being a US citizens even with a travel alert ATM’s didn’t always work FYI or out of money. This is the one place we plan to return to and pack accordingly for MT Everest and other cities. Wonderful experience we felt welcomed everywhere we went. Our last night we got to an experience some time with Prem and Bishnu and have a nice sit down dinner. We couldn’t thank them enough for such an enjoyable time. This country is rich with culture, colorful and always festive. We went at the perfect time, a lot to see and experience. Thank you, Sincerely Jen & Scott
