This professionally designed climbing itinerary takes you to the acclimatization hike to the most popular trekking destination of Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthhar first for the close-up views of Mt. Everest before scaling the Island Peak. It was the name given to the mountain in 1952 by Eric Shipton who thought it to be reminiscent of an island in a sea of ice. It is also known as “Imja Tse” in the local Sherpa language.

I have used the Ace Himalaya guiding service in October 2022. We travelled as a group of 2 couples and trekked to EBC and climbed the Island Peak. We did not have the best weather at the beginning of the trip but it cleared up after coming to EBC. We climbed the Kala Patthar and the Island Peak with clear sky and the views were amazing. I have previous experiences in the Alps, Pamir mountains and can assure that Ace The Himalaya take their job seriously. Huge thanks to our lead guide Raj Kumar who was attentive and dedicated to our needs throughout the whole trip. He made the journey run smoothly. His communication and mangerial skills are great, we are fully satisfied with his service. We felt well taken care of and confirm Raj is a friendly and a professional guide. Our porters worked tirelessly and always delivered our luggage on time and in good order. Similarly, fully satisfied with their work. The climbing guide Pemba and his team led us to the Island Peak, they assisted all the climbers and made the summit push a pure pleasure. Generally, I strongly recommend using Ace Himalaya for your Himalaya treks, climbs as I could not have had a better experience on my trip.

From being picked up at the airport to being guided every step of the way this trip was amazing! The guides Madan, Dipesh and Ramesh were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful through every step of the way. These guides are seriously some awesome people that made the trip truly worth it. All three had fun personalities and you just knew they love what they do. Our group quickly made friends with them and from then on it was like having a super knowledgeable guide that you could also talk with and learn about their life and culture. If you want a seemless and easy experience navigating the chaos of airports/taxis/cities ACE will make it hassle free. Hiking in the Himalayas will always be amazing but having the support of the guides and company is what took this to the next level. I don’t write reviews in general but I want to take the time to write this and thank ACE and all of our guides and porters that enhanced this trip more than I ever could have expected. THANK YOU!
