The small group VIP tour to Neuschwanstein is the way to go! Our driver made everyone coffee before the trip began. The bus was very comfortable and spacious and a variety of snacks and beverages are provided for the entire journey. Our guide Ursula was simply wunderbar. Clearly a former teacher, she gave us a history lesson the whole way there and back. Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles are spectacular. (Please note, there is a fair amount of walking involved to get to Neuschwanstein.) We wish there were more rooms open for viewing at Neuschwanstein but they are doing extensive renovations. At Linderhof you're given a grand tour and all the rooms are open for viewing. The stop at Oberammergau was fascinating. The air paintings on the buildings are breathtaking. We just wish we had more time there to explore and eat. Overall it was a lovely day with our energetic Ursula teaching us and taking care of us. The ride was smooth and safe. We highly recommend it.
