    Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel in Füssen or Munich. First, we drive to Neuschwanstein Castle the most visited castle in south Germany and was the inspiration for Disney castle. First, we take the shuttle to Mary’s Bridge (Marienbrücke) for some amazing pictures, then we walk to Neuschwanstein (the fairytale castle) with a tour inside. You will know more about the Swan King (Ludwig II) king of Bavaria (1864-1886). And the history of Neuschwanstein Castle (was built 1869-1886).

I think it would help both, Viator business and the tourists, to be truthful about Linderhof Castle “7 hour private tour” which is 4 hours: 30min castle tour ( paid separately), 30 min gardens (in the summer only) and 3 hours driving. I also believe that the company should indicate clearly that additional stops will be charged, to avoid any misunderstandings and disappointments. The drivers in both our trips, Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, were very good.

David was a great tour guide, we were able to ask questions and he provided us with rich knowledge of the Bovarian culture and history. He was accommodating, had beverages on board and made the ride quite comfortable.

Excellent day visiting the two castles, with historical facts and commentary provided by our tour guide David as we drove to Fussen from Munich. David provided knowledge about the area and the history behind the castles, and made our visits to both castles as pleasant and easy as possible, considering how crowded and popular they are. He showed us the best photo spots and answered our questions thoughtfully. Also a good storyteller with some of the history around King Ludwig II!! Our day ended with a half hour visit to the lovely village of Oberramergau before our return trip to Munich. Highly recommend this private tour.
