Situated on a picturesque bend along the St. John River, Kings Landing’s village is brimming with activity as costumed characters depicting real people from New Brunswick’s past go about their day-to-day lives.

Kings Landing, Lower Prince William, Canada You’ll be hard-pressed to experience Kings Landing all in one visit—the challenge is on! There is truly something for everyone—that is of course if you’d like to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself.
At the core, Kings Landing is a museum. With over 70,000 artefacts, it has one of the largest collections in Atlantic Canada. The history told here reflects stories spanning over 150 years from the exodus of Loyalists during the American Revolution to the Victorians and the birth of Canada and on to the age of progress in the late 19th century and early 20thcentury.
The museum offers both the Exhibit Experience and the Village. You’ll find plenty of educational exhibits when you first enter the museum that provide insight into the history you’ll experience in the Village. You’ll also find the Kid Zone and where our tours kick-off. The Village is full of activity, with costumed characters depicting real people from New Brunswick’s colourful past, beautiful historic homes and friendly farm animals.
Every day at Kings Landing is a new experience, so be sure to check our calendar for the most up to date schedule of our programs and activities.

After reading the review that said Kings Landing wasn't what it had previously been, we almost didn't visit. If we hadn't, we would have missed a very enjoyable day. There was a wonderful variety of buildings to visit, and the reenactors at each site knew their subjects and interacted well with visitors. The day we were at Kings Landing was very hot, and the carriage ride back to the visitors center was very welcome. If I am ever in the area, I will definitely visit Kings Landing again.

It is always a wonderful day trip where we see buildings, talk with staff, meet the farm animals and enjoy wandering around admiring the crops and the peaceful surroundings.

Years ago I couldn't say enough good things about king's landing. Now its a shell of. its former self. Used to be well staff with bustling activities, family meals, and life in every corner. Each house was fully staffed with an entire family. It has gone downhill greatly since the Pandemic. I visited last summer and this summer with family several times and saw a dramatic decline in quality. It is rare to see more then 1 worker in each house. Music, outdoor activities etc are rarely seen too. The workers struggle to provide historical information if you can manage to talk to them because the 1 person is busy with the other customers. Several buildings had staff that couldn't tell us anything about the building because they were just minding the house or a visiting relative.
It is barely a museum anymore. 1990's and early 2000's were far far better with staff numbers, knowledge and life on the site. It would be nice to see it return to this.
