My colleague and I were flying to India for business reasons and wanted to take the opportunity to visit tha Taj Mahal. Our plane arrived at Delhi at 11 pm and we directly booked the one day Sunrise tour to Taj Mahal and Agra fort that departs at 2:30 am. Our driver Mr.Guddu was already waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and drove us all the way to Agra.We stopped mid-way for a tea and to shortly stretch our legs and then continued to Agra where we picked up our guide (Rizwan) and drove to the Taj Mahal entrance.We arrived at 6 am ,just at the time of sunrise. Rizwan helped us with the tickets and then guided us inside. Once inside, he walked us through the different areas and interesting spots,and explained many facts about the place and it’s history.He took the time to show us the interesting spots for pictures and attended all our questions. We left at around 8:30 am they took us to 5star hotel where we could have some delicious breakfast.At 9:00 am we continued to the Agra fort.Rizwan kept examining the history and many details related to the building. Afterwards they took us to a couple of shops where they showed us the traditional ways of crafting marble and carpets,as expected ,had the opportunity to buy some souvenirs.This is almost unavoidable in any tour in India but it was interesting nonetheless and worth the visit. Finally they took us to visit Itmad us daula (Baby Taj) and Mehtab Garden. Overall a great experience.The Taj Mahal is a “must see” and the One day Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour from Delhi by car is very convenient and well organised. They arrange the pick up and drop off wherever works for you.The time (3:00am) May seem excessive. A special thanks to Rizwan our tour guide in Agra he was excellent and gave us a great tour of monuments and history in Agra.
