Learn about the history of each place and the reason behind it getting the ‘haunted’ tag. History of some of the places dates back to centuries, while some places have a more recent notoriety. Even though the tour takes place during daylight hours, all the places are fairly secluded and coupled with the guide narrating some real-life experiences of people who claim to have been haunted – an eerie feeling is bound to creep in. Built during the Mahabharata era by King Agrasen, the stepwell was once filled with black water, which, according to legend, lured people to commit suicide by drowning, casting a spell of gloom over the area. Visitors have reported feeling a strange presence, hearing unexplained whispers, and sensing an overwhelming feeling of dread, especially as they descend deeper into the stepwell. Interesting tour in that you you get to see parts of Delhi most tourists would never see. However, it is far from frightening. The only haunted aspect of the trip is that you visit places where people were killed.
