Same Day Agra Tour

My friends and I were very fortunate to have Ramesh as our driver from 2 March until 20 March 2023. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Delhi and were greeted by Ramesh’s smiling face we knew we were in safe hands. After spending a couple of days sightseeing in Delhi we drove to Moksha Himalaya Resort for a couple of days - this resort can only be reached by cable car. We then drove to Chandigath and then onto Amristar. We witnessed the Wagah-Attari Ceremony (Beating the Retreat Ceremony) on the Pakistan/Indian border. This was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. We also visited the Golden Temple in nighttime and daytime. It was a very special place to see. We then flew to Delhi and onto Jaipur. Ramesh very kindly took our bags and met us in Jaipur. We stayed at Samode Palace in Jaipur - I highly recommend this hotel. We also stayed at Vijayran Palace in Jaipur. We drove from Jaipur to Agra. We visited the Taj Mahal at sunrise - it was magical. Lastly we drove from Agra to Delhi. Ramesh is a wonderful kind thoughtful and considerate person - nothing is too much trouble. He has a warm personality and his English is very good. He is always on time and very well presented. His car is immaculate both inside and outside - he takes such pride in his appearance and his car. Ramesh negotiates the Indian roads and traffic incredibly. His calm nature never fades. He is the most efficient driver I have known. He suggests places to see while driving and always stops for photo opportunities. On occasions when a guide was required Ramesh organised someone for us.. When sone days driving long distances Ramesh would stop at a suitable place for lunch. Since returning to Australia I have highly recommended Ramesh to many friends and family. I plan to visit India again next year and certainly I am looking forward to travelling with Ramesh again. Well… where to start Ramesh you are absolutely amazing at what you do and such a lovely human being. You always have a huge smile on your face even at 5.30am which even struggle with and i smile a lot. You took us to a drive through mcds even though the word drive through didn’t really match what happened you were very patient after a long day. The pick up from the airport was very smooth and made us feel very comfortable and at ease straight away. We have really enjoyed our time with you and the laughter thank you so much for treating us like family we have loved every minute with you. Lots of love kat and kev.❤️

I just completed an incredible drive-by-car tour of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan with our driver and guide Ramesh Kumar. The sights were amazing and what made the tour more special was the knowledge and very importantly, amazing driving skills of our India-Travel-By-Car guide Ramesh! Anyone with experience of the roads and traffic in Indian cities and country would agree how important it is to have a good driver that can avoid anything and everything! From 'traffic stopper' trucks to sacred cows on the freeway and bikes, cars and people in between! Agra with its spectacular fort and the truly spectacular Taj Mahal was just the beginning of an incredible adventure! Our personalised tour continued to Ranthambore and an incredible early morning safari and then on to the pink city of Jaipur. A beautiful city that truly lives up to its description as the Pink City. Our local Jaipur guide Mr Gourav Singh thrilled us with the stories of the city. The market places were a brilliant kaleidoscope of colours and tastes and we experienced first hand, some of the culture and handicrafts of the region! The next highlight was the blue city of Jodhpur with another incredible fort and spectacular views and then on to Ranakpur. In Ranakpur, we visited the Jain Temple another incredible architectural feat! Our second last overnight stop was at the beautiful old city of Udaipur. Built around three lakes, reminiscing of Venice, we cruised to the Jagmandir Island palace with beautiful views across to the old city! Our local guide Mr Prem Singh was very knowledgeable and shared the history of this beautiful city, the city palace and the museum. Our final destination the city of Pushkar provided another rich cultural experience of camel rides, traditional dancing and a delicious meal under the stars of the Rajasthani desert! Overall, our tour was an incredible enriching experience that was seamlessly enjoyed thanks to our great driver and guide Ramesh! Thank you very much Ramesh, maybe the Himalayas next….!
