Taj Mahal, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India Taj Mahal, Agra, India You will be picked up from your hotel in Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida at 5:00am and transferred to the New Delhi railway station to board a super fast deluxe train to the city of Taj Mahal - Agra. At 6:00am your train Shatabdi Exp (Train No. 12002) departs from the New Delhi railway station. Breakfast will be served on board during this 2-hour journey.
Upon arrival to Agra Cantonment railway station at approximately 8:00 am, you will be greeted by your driver with your name on the nameplate at the main exit gate. You will have some time to freshen up and, later meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby.
Your tour will start at 9:00am with a visit to the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and is widely recognized as "the jewel of Muslim art in India". It is one of the world’s most celebrated structures and a symbol of India’s rich history.
At 11:30 am continue your tour by visiting Agra Fort, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. from red sandstone. The maze of the courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort echoes the story of the Mughal Empire. Make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant at approximately 1:00pm.
After lunch, leave for Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is an hour away from Agra. It has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years.
At 6:00pm, after your return to Agra, you may enjoy some shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra's major handicraft products beside an inlay are: brass-ware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery and leather accessories and clothes.
At the end of this tour you will be transferred back to Agra Cantt Railway Station to catch your train back to Delhi, which departs at 9:15pm. The snacks will be served on board.
At approximately 11:30pm, upon arrival to New Delhi railway station, you will be greeted by your driver, who then will transfer you back to your hotel in Delhi. 420 minutes

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We had a one day trip to Agra from Delhi by train. We had a great time there. We had a Japanese-language guide, and his Japanese was very good. He was also kind and well-knowledged.
