We've been to this aquarium a few times, and it doesn't get old. They have a nice variety of fish, reptiles, and mammals, and they're well distributed throughout the aquarium. A few key points for those considering visiting:
1. The central tank is the big draw, but not the only. It is a huge reef exhibit that is 5 stories tall, and it's worth taking time on each level to look at it, because different creatures favor different depths. Some favorites are the moray eel and Mertle the Turtle, but I also love watching the schooling fish, the trunk fish, the rays, and the barracuda. (note: the top of the tank is accessible by stairs only, I believe)
2. The separate coral reef display on the first level is astonishingly beautiful. I could watch it for hours.
3. The marine mammals are outside- there is no A/C when viewing them as a result.
4. The penguins are a highlight, and you should take some time to watch them. They have multiple species located in different areas.
Our trip this weekend was masked due to COVID protocols, and the aquarium was VERY busy, which made for a less comfortable trip than normal. I would recommend coming not during tourist season to have the best experience, but it's still a really nice aquarium.
