The PistachioLand tour offers a ride on a 14 passenger electric vehicle through the pistachio orchards and vineyards. This is a working farm where pistachios and wine grapes are produced, and wine and candy is also produced on-site. Free samples of nuts and wine are available in the gift shop. Although you can walk-in to purchase a $2 ticket, booking guarantees a seat unless canceled for weather.

Katie was outstanding as a tour guide. Very knowledgeable of pistachio growing, harvesting and manufacturing process. She also had a lot of interesting local information. The tour is only $3 and lasts about 20 minutes or so but it is well worth it. Katie took the time to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend!

Fantastic visit to PistachioLand! Loved trying all the pistachio varieties and the brittle. Very nice selection of New Mexico souvenirs as well. Farm Tour led by Maverick was entertaining and we learned a lot too! Ended the visit with the best pistachio ice cream! Would definitely recommend as a must do near Alamogordo.

Be sure to swing in and get a shot with the big pistachio! Definitely take the tour and try the homemade ice cream. Katie leads a great tour of the orchard!
