We took this ghost tour in mid-October, and honestly, I would not recommend it. Our guide, John, was funny and had a great, loud voice — he really did his best. But there were around 30 people in our group, plus at least 40 other ghost tour groups nearby, each with just as many people. It made it almost impossible to hear or stay focused, and it completely killed any sense of atmosphere or “scariness.”
To be honest, I barely heard any of the stories. The description of the tour was also very misleading. We paid extra to “go inside a haunted location to investigate,” but what we got was a small, hot room (no A/C) that the company owned, where we just sat while John told a short, unimpressive story. Definitely not worth the extra money.
For a city like New Orleans — full of real history and haunts — this tour felt very shallow. The stories and stops were basic and could have been so much better. If you’re visiting in October, skip the ghost tours altogether. They’re overcrowded, chaotic, and just not worth the time or cost.
