    Meet your guide, Keith (a Louisiana record man with more than 20 years of record business experience), at the Louisiana Music Factory on Frenchmen Street - the most musical street in New Orleans. Spend approximately 2 hours and a dozen songs while we walk through historic New Orleans 'faubourgs' (neighborhoods) - the Marigny, French Quarter, and Treme - spanning space, time and genres we learn 300 years of New Orleans Music & Heritage. The aural-visual walking tour is accompanied by Bluetooth speaker capability to provide musical accompaniment of the artists and locations along the tour. Our tour guide spent about 2 hours showing us various significant music stops in New Orleans, including a beverage at the historic Lafitte tavern from the 1700s and a venue I visited in 1976, Preservation Hall Jazz Club. We got tickets to their show that night and it was much like one of the original jazz shows I saw as a music loving teen. The musicians had performed all around the world and stayed after to speak to guests. It all points to the accessibility of music, then and now.

If you love history especially of the MUSIC of this great city this is the tour for you. Keith is witty and knowledgeable about it all. He was a hoot! I can’t wait to take it again with my music loving husband.

I really enjoyed the tour. I appreciated that the tour guide didn’t shy away from talking about certain aspects of America’s history and that he knew alot about the influence of Africa on music. The tour guide was friendly, funny and had good energy. He was full of knowledge which he shared and he played some nice tunes at different points of the tour. We stopped at a cafe along the route. There was street parking for very reasonable pay not far from the start location. It was probably cheaper than what the nearby lots likely would’ve been. The tour guide took lots of pictures of us and he emailed them to us after the tour. Somehow we lucked up and it was just my friend and I on the tour which was a real treat.
