The tour guide, Cutthroat, of the French Quarters was superb in her recantation of the past as she dressed the part of a pirate that had overcome some real struggles. Struggles that she used to draw her audience into the world of New Orleans, its culture, and the despair that has made New Orleans, Louisiana the landmark that it is today. Idk if she wore her interesting costume while she managed our group because it was around Halloween, or if it was her normal attire but either way, it was phenomenal. Once we set off, with drinks in hand, she walked with swag and haste so as to make the tour interesting and informational. She did this by giving us great perspective about the quarters and their interesting lores while simultaneously keeping us entertained with her jokes and quibbs. Upon the end of the tour, she showed everyone a bar/pub that has ties to a ghost and a movie star. My partner and I asked her if we could buy her a drink and talk a little more because she was so good, and she surprisingly said yes! It was during that exchange that we were able to get photos with her to capture such a wonderful memory, learn more about NOLA and the background behind the cultures governing it.
