This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. The Garden District of New Orleans is fascinating! The time and conditions these structures have withstood is amazing. The best part of this rainy morning was our guide Jackie Bullock. She is an excellent storyteller. We enjoyed hearing of the triumphants and the defeats of the settlers . Jackie notified us the day before the walk of helpful hints. I would highly recommend this walking tour and look forward to our next visit to New Orleans.

We had a fantastic tour of the Garden District led by Jackie. She is a long time resident of the Garden district and has so many great personal anecdotes to add to the history of the area. She is a wonderful storyteller and kept our entire group entertained throughout the tour. The Garden district is beautiful, charming, and fascinating. This tour is not to be missed and if you are lucky enough to have Jackie as your tour guide you are in for a real treat!
