During your tour of Destrehan Plantation, professional guides will bring to life the stories of generations who lived on and worked this land. Your guides will share every detail of this mansion’s storied history with you. You’ll also hear tales of the lives of both its owners and slaves. They will also tell you about its wonderfully restored Greek Revival architecture.

    Glide comfortably over marshes, deep into secluded bayous as your professional Airboat Captain will tell you about the swamp’s fascinating fauna and flora. You may even get to spot a bald eagle, see baby alligators, feed giant catfish, or meet a nutria face to face!

A must do! The airboat/swamp experience was well worth it! Isabelle was right on time to pick me up at my hotel, she's very pleasanr, friendly and have a world of knowledge to share, as we made our way through town and to the swamp. Grant is very knowledgeable and the added humor is a plus! We were able to see a few alligators and some raccoons, and Grant gave us sufficient time to absorb the views and the experience. The Destrehan Plantation tour was informative and worthwhile if you value history of course. Beverly was energetic, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! All proceeds for this Plantation goes directly back into upkeeping its maintenence and employee salary, which I loved. Definitely bring your sunglasses, wear comfy clothing and shoes, and wear sunscreen!

An absolute must do! Tours by Isabelle is a great tour. I have been to New Orleans many times and never done a tour. I picked this one as the reviews were great, and I have to agree. Communication was fantastic! The day before they confirm pick up time. They promptly picked us up on time. We had 5 others in our group so it was small and cozy group which I enjoyed not having 20-30 people on the tour. But this is where the tour shined. Isabelle was an amazing tour guide from the moment we got on the van. She really loves the city and it shows. We took about a 25 min ride to the airboat tour the whole while getting so much information about the city. The airboat tour was everything you could want and more and we had a fantastic captain. As soon as we got off Isabelle was waiting for us. After a few minutes we were off to the Plantation. A short 10 minute ride later, with lots of more information we were at our destination. We joined a fantastic informative tour of the plantation. Afterwards, Isabelle meet the group and even gave us more information about the plantation and times back then I had the best tour and learned so much! Isabelle is amazing and will plan to book more tours with her again.

Isabelle was amazing! She has a wealth of knowledge and really knows her history! She makes sure you are comfortable and that you have everything you need.
