This was a perfect way to see the Joan Sutherland Theatre and enjoy some of the best of Opera. The singers were incredible and passionate about sharing their knowledge and talent with the audience. Bravo!

Cinderella;
Absolute Dreadful Show, very few props or costumes and no backgrounds. Nothing about this show looked professional.
I am a pensioner, and this is the worst show that I have ever seen. It looked unrehearsed, all the singers failed to come center front stage at any time. In fact, the whole show looked bland. At first, I thought this was deliberate at the start, to make the second half look spectacular, I was wrong.
Obviously, they couldn’t be bothered to look for costumes, props, or sets, or exciting lighting, or for a male to play the part of the prince, (it’s not a pantomime) Any high school could have put on a better opera. Is this the best that that Sydney Opera can provide?
Just because a show is performed in Sydney Opera house doesn’t mean that the show is up to standard. The only good thing was that it was inside the main theater in the fabulous well designed Sydney Opera House After reading the programme, I am reminded of the fable “The King’s New Clothes”
If you go to this show and feel the same way? Just close your eyes and listen to the singing and the Orchestra, you might enjoy, or fall asleep, either way it’s better.

This turned out to be really a fun experience! None of the six of us that were traveling together know much about opera, but the performers made the performance so engaging and interesting that it was really a fun presentation.
