Our Gin tour and tasting is located in a truly unique location. We are based in the heart of The Rocks in Sydney, almost under the iconic Harbour Bridge. Hickson House Gin has won gold medals at the most prestigious spirits shows, with every product having picked up a gold medal. The distillery itself it built in a historic bond building that used to house goods sent to Australia from all over the world. One of Australia's largest and oldest gantry cranes was located in the building and the steel girders holding up the building are the same used in the building of the Harbour Bridge under which we are located. The tour itself starts with a Gin & Tonic before heading into the distillery to learn about the gin production process. Head back into our award-winning bar and enjoy a tasting of our multi award winning gin range. Hickson House also features a full bar and dining room to enjoy while spending some time with us.

    Your tour commences with a welcome drink at our incredible 8 metre high front bar. Most enjoy a Gin and Tonic to take on their distillery tour, but non-alcoholic options are available too. Next, we take you into our working distillery to discover the process to make our award winning gin and our whisky which is ageing and ready for release in years to come. Learn about the whisky and gin making process end to end during a 30 minute guided tour. Taste and smell the botanicals used to create our Hickson Rd Gin. Next we make our way to the tasting room where you will guided through a tasting of our three unique Hickson Rd Gins, paired with tonic. Finally, enjoy a $5 discount on any purchases made at our distillery cellar door, which stocks all of our gin products and a large selection of merchandise and gifting items. This is a truly unique experience that is located right under the iconic Harbour Bridge in Sydney.

I loved my recent visit to Hickson House Distilling Co. The Distillery Tour was so interesting and informative showcasing the processes involved in making their award winning gin and now whiskey. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions asked. We got to taste the different gins and understand the different botanicals included in them. Following the tour I highly recommend dining in the Hickson House restaurant next door. We enjoyed a 5 star lunch and refreshing cocktails in the dining room afterwards. The kingfish ceviche and seared tuna were especially exquisite, as was the kangaroo tartare, while hubby loved his wagyu rump steak. I highly recommend the Hickson House distillery tour, dining room and bar.

It was all a really enjoyable experience and in particularly Chesney(our guide) was so upbeat and loved what she did. The tour was interesting but the tastings and getting a better understanding of the various ingredients that go into the process was fascinating. When we have visitors from overseas we will most definitely bring them along to Hickson House.

Absolutely loved this distillery. The tour guide was fabulous, warm, friendly & knowledgeable. A lovely G&T was made for us on arrival & the four gins on tasting were delicious! The bar area is simply stunning with the most beautiful display of drinks & a gorgeous chandelier. Highly recommend you visit & take the tour & tasting, you won't be disappointed.
