Our seated Premium Wine Tasting is fun and informative, while tasting some fabulous premium wines paired with a delicious cheese plate. Learn some of the tips and hints with wine etiquette. Ivanhoe Wines is situated on 80 beautiful acres of estate and our cellar door is overlooking the vineyard. Your wine host is passionate and knowledgeable. Our wines are not sold in bottle shops, which is more boutique and exclusive. We also offer premium engraving on our wines which can personalise our wines for birthdays and weddings.

We spent the morning tasting wine with Kylie at Ivanhoe. We absolutely love Ivanhoe wines and did the members tasting. The Draytons are such a down to earth family who really go above and beyond to ensure you are welcome and at home. Kylie spent time telling us about the wines and tailored our experience to suit the various members of our six people party. We had a terrific time and enjoyed the whole experience. If you have not tasted here you are missing out.

Our morning wine tasting at Ivanhoe Wines was hands-down the standout experience of our four-day Hunter Valley getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the Tuscan-like charm of the panoramic vista—rolling vineyards framed by distant hills, dotted with striking sculptures crafted from chain, and two charismatic geese patrolling the grounds like guardians of the estate. What made the visit truly memorable was our host, Lewis. Warm, friendly, and effortlessly engaging, he brought the Ivanhoe story to life with genuine passion and deep knowledge, embodying the spirit of generations of family winemaking. His relaxed yet informative style made the experience feel both personal and special. The wine selection was superb—there was something to suit every palate in our group of five, with several favourites that had us reaching for order forms. The balance of quality, variety, and storytelling elevated the tasting far beyond the norm. In a region full of excellent cellar doors, Ivanhoe stood out for its authentic hospitality, unforgettable setting, and exceptional wines. A must-visit—we’re still talking about it.

If I could give this place more stars I would. Lewis was outstanding as our host and provided the best experience I’ve had in a very long time. Right from the time we walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome as if we were family. His knowledge and connection to family was as warming and gutsy as the red wine they have on offer. Even if you’re not much of a wine drinker I recommend the experience of sitting on the balcony to admire the Tuscany-like views and take in the ambiance of the whole atmosphere, history and live that goes into this family operated business.
